Voter List Options |
AIM is a compiler of OFFICIAL voter registration data collected by us or our partners from more than 4,000 state and county election boards. Many lists are called “voter lists” or “registered voter lists” when they are not comprised of officially verified registered voters. These lists are typically self-reported in response to a question on a website registration or co-registration form or
inferred from a modeling process using
U.S. Census Bureau data.
These unofficial “voter” lists have their place, and we also offer these, but
never as a substitute for official registered data
which is the single best investment that a political campaign or ballot initiative sponsor can make!
It is very important to
understand the distinction
between these lists and how each should be used.
For instance, self-reported and
modeled voter lists can be used for a petition drive or letter campaign to influence public policy.. Too often, particularly in the email world, we see lists promoted as “voter emails”, or even “registered voter emails” when, in fact, the list was not sourced from or matched to the official voter registration list acquired from the state election board. Unsuspecting political campaigns purchase these lists never realizing that they may be wasting campaign resources reaching individuals who are not eligible to vote.
The cost of this "waste
circulation" increases for
direct mail due to the wasted
printing and mailing costs as
well as for automated calling
campaigns. The funds invested in
the deployment of emails to the
non-voters on the list are also
costly because they divert funds
that could have been targeted to
officially registered voters. For a political campaign or ballot initiative sponsor, the best option is always going to be the official registered voter list acquired from the state election board along with email and phone lists
matched and appended to these official records.
U.S Registered Voters by State and Party - Enhanced, Modeled Data
123,282,485 Universe
This file of postal addresses, phone numbers and email addresses is especially useful for identifying likely party affiliation where such data is
not gathered at the primary level or at all. Using census data and modeling, a list is compiled of likely registered voters by party affiliation. This is based on a proprietary methodology that scores a combination of actual voting district results with census levels and migrations. Selects offered include ethnicity, country of origin and language preference among many others. Unlike the official voter registration lists acquired through the election boards,
this list has no restrictions on commercial usage. This data is validated by a telephone contact survey resulting in a 90% accuracy rate.
U.S. Registered Voters e-Postal File - Self-reported Data
23,346,415 Universe
This e-postal file is highly reliable in that it is compiled from self-reported survey information
provided by the actual voter. This includes the voter having identified themselves as
registered to vote by major party affiliation. An e-postal record includes both email address and matching postal record assuring that your email campaign is reaching a constituent that resides in your election district. Email addresses are 100% opt-in so you know your message will be welcome. All email addresses are updated and verified monthly and again prior to any email campaign. Email addresses may be ordered on a standalone basis as may postal addresses, or both may be ordered together for the greatest cost savings and multi-channel power. Opt-in email orders include message deployment, tracking and reporting. Multi-use discounts and email append (to your housefile or state voter registration list) are available for email address and phone number. Ethnic and other selects are available and include
country of origin and language preference. To our knowledge, this is the largest universe of e-postal registered voters available in the marketplace.
Hispanic Registered Voters e-Postal File
- Self-reported Data
2,394,410 Universe
This is the Hispanic/Latino segment of our Registered Voters e-Postal file described above. This file
represents meaningful swing vote prospects and should be a valued strategic asset of any campaign or initiative.
If you prefer, we can also acquire the official state voter registration list for one or more states in your behalf.
Registered Voters by State - Official Voter Registrar Data 175,000,000+ Universe
These files are acquired by AIM or its partners from the 4,000 elections boards of the various states and are
official Registered Voter records. File rental requires that the customer meets permissible use requirements
for that particular state or jurisdiction. Not all registered voter lists are available for commercial use and
many states require that the list user is a political campaign.
